Mexico approves Marriott’s acquisition of Metropolis Categorical

Marriott Worldwide has acquired approval from Mexico’s Federal Financial Competitors Fee for its $100 million acquisition of the Metropolis Categorical model.
With the approval, Marriott expects the take care of Hoteles Metropolis Categorical, introduced in October, to shut within the second quarter pending remaining customary closing circumstances, the corporate stated in an announcement.
The acquisition would add about 150 inns to Marriott’s portfolio, rising the corporate’s footprint within the Caribbean and Latin America by 45%.
