Mexico approves Marriott’s acquisition of Metropolis Specific

Marriott Worldwide has obtained approval from Mexico’s Federal Financial Competitors Fee for its $100 million acquisition of the Metropolis Specific model.
With the approval, Marriott expects the cope with Hoteles Metropolis Specific, introduced in October, to shut within the second quarter pending remaining customary closing circumstances, the corporate stated in a press release.
The acquisition would add about 150 resorts to Marriott’s portfolio, rising the corporate’s footprint within the Caribbean and Latin America by 45%.
