WTTC introduces sustainability pointers for motels

The World Journey & Tourism Council (WTTC) launched a set of 12 standards it recommends motels implement to drive accountable and sustainable tourism practices. 

Known as Resort Sustainability Fundamentals, WTTC stated it’s an industry-backed initiative to allow lodging suppliers worldwide, no matter their dimension, “to start their sustainability journey.”

The standards contains measuring and decreasing vitality, water, waste and carbon emissions; changing objects similar to plastic water bottles and mini toiletry bottles; utilizing inexperienced cleansing merchandise; providing vegetarian meals choices; and benefitting the local people.
